NYU Faculty and Students Protest Arrests and Campus Ban Over Palestine Solidarity Actions

On Thursday, December 12, two NYU faculty members were arrested by the NYPD during a nonviolent pro-Palestine rally. The university subsequently declared them “Persona Non Grata,” barring their access to campus buildings.The Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine (FSJP) held a press conference and picket on Wednesday, December 18, calling on NYU to revoke these actions, disclose its investments, divest from Israeli-linked companies, and close the NYU Tel Aviv campus. Participants argued that these measures infringe on their rights to free expression and peaceful assembly.
